KIDS WORLD

Friday, August 7, 2009

5:00p.m.
The Wolf Hongos: Five youth from Fall River play rock music with an accordion. Inspired by music from various cultures and new acts such as the Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly.

5:45p.m.
JT: A solo hip hop/rap artist from Fall River takes his inspiration from Eminem, TeckN9e and Chamillionaire.

6:15p.m.
Gamblin' Hands: This trio takes you into any direction but the one that leads into the “box.” They perform what they feel and leave you wanting more.

7:30p.m.
Daniel Chase: Solo singer/songwriter nominated act of the year by the Providence Phoenix; This young man uses his incredible voice to instill a warmth and comfort in you, you soon won’t forget.

8:30p.m.
Andrea Belanger: A solo singer/songwriter; This fascinating artist skillfully weaves her songs with influences of truth and realization, capturing her listeners and bringing them into her time…

9:30p.m.
Cactus Attack: This five member band has the uncontained energy of any rock and roll band…they just do not use the standard tools! Banjo, violin, upright bass and guitars fuel their sound.

Friday night's Constant activities

1. Team Works facility a large 45 long obstacle course with a toddler bouncer complete with dozens of activities in penned up area. All free
2. Animal Instincts exhibit. See all kinds of birds, snakes, reptiles and have your pictures taken with them as we explore the animal instincts weekend long exhibit.
3. Captain Sparrow and the treasure beach. This year we are doubling the amount of sand and burying little treasures all throughout the beach as kids will once again be able to build, tear down and dig for treasure in this Pirate's Cove as captain jack Sparrow entertains them. Look for several other characters to join in.
4. The Home Depot workshop. Folks from the Home Depot will be offering numerous build able crafts and hobby style creations for kids to build and take home and paint. Again all for free.
5. Traveling clowns. We have several clowns from the Shriners performing throughout the area with plenty of balloons to make animal creations with.
6. The National guard will be on hand with a series of activities including a rock climbing wall.
7. Face painting and crafts in our volunteer tent
Saturday, August 8, 2009
Saturday events include the first part of Fall River Catches a Star on the main stage in the Kids area.

A. Civil War Exhibit in front of the carousel
B. Magic shows at 330 and 6 p.m. on main stage
C. Animal Instincts Live- 4:30 and 7:15 pm. Owner and Exotic Animal Expert Bob Schenk will be bringing numerous exotic animals, too exotic for pet shops to talk about in this on stage demonstration of the animals around us, some from far away lands.

Sunday, features a get out and dance theme. We will be having the second half of Fall River Catches a Star followed by a dance gala at 3 p.m. featuring performers from 10 different schools on the main stage. Also in front of carousel, a lineup of international dancers.
